Hand Disease Treatment Program
Foot Disease Treatment Program
You should improve your joint health by implementing non-surgical treatments such as lifestyle habits, medications, and physical therapy, and continue to manage your joints for healthy joints in the future.
If symptoms do not improve despite non-surgical treatment and are severely interfering with daily life, surgical treatments such as stem cell cartilage regeneration, microperforation, and artificial joint replacement are performed.
First, conservative treatment is performed with cold packs, compression, leg elevation, plaster immobilization, and use of crutches. These attempts are effective in reducing pain immediately after ankle ligament rupture. Once the swelling subsides, extracorporeal shock wave injection therapy is performed.
If pain or swelling persists after a certain period of time, surgery may be performed. Ankle arthroscopy should be used to check and treat cartilage damage, inflammation, and ligament damage within the joint.
Fix the ankle with a plaster splint or brace and apply cold packs or compression to remove swelling. Once the pain and swelling disappear, only rehabilitation training such as balance recovery exercises, muscle strengthening exercises, and stretching to lengthen the Achilles tendon is performed to improve walking and prevent recurrence. Depending on the symptoms, injection treatment, cast, or splint treatment may be performed.
If there is no improvement in non-surgical treatment or the degree of rupture is severe, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair is performed. Through arthroscopy, the site, extent, and pattern of the rupture are identified and suturing is performed accordingly. If suturing is not possible because the area is too wide or fatty degeneration is severe, partial reconstruction or reinforcement using other tissue can be performed.
Conservative treatment You should avoid narrow-toed shoes such as high heels. In some cases, symptoms may be alleviated with braces or silicone pads. (However, correction is not performed.)
Corrective osteotomy is performed to treat foot deformities by restoring bone alignment and balancing soft tissues. There are several osteotomy methods, and the most appropriate method is selected depending on the patient's condition.
