Diagnostic / Examination
  • Contrast test

Contrast testing is a method of examining the presence or absence of abnormalities in organs by filling or coating the area to be examined using a material that does not transmit X-rays well.

  • Endoscopy

Through endoscopy, the diseased area can be directly identified, and if abnormal findings are found, cancer is determined through biopsy. Compared to liver angiography, it is more accurate and allows a biopsy to be performed immediately.

  • Computed tomography (CT)

Computed tomography (CT) helps in diagnosis when there is a possibility that the tumor has invaded surrounding tissues or other organs, and tests for metastasis to the liver or lymph nodes.

  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

It is a more accurate test than CT in identifying metastasis rather than diagnosing the cancer itself. It is additionally used when liver metastasis is not clear as a CT result or when it is necessary to accurately determine the number of metastatic cancers in the liver.

  • Positron emission tomography and PET-CT examination

This is a test that detects cancer cells through gamma rays emitted from a marker, taking advantage of the fact that cancer cells generally have faster metabolic activity than normal cells.

Stomach/Colon Cancer
Treatment Program

  • Targets for surgery are patients diagnosed with gastric cancer through endoscopic biopsy, early gastric cancer that cannot be treated with endoscopic resection in highly suspicious cases, and advanced gastric cancer in which cancer cells have not spread elsewhere as determined by computed tomography or other tests, and the entire body is under anesthesia. It is performed when surgery is possible.

  • This is a surgical method that involves making a small hole in the abdomen without making an incision, and then using a special instrument with a special camera attached. Compared to traditional open surgery, laparoscopic surgery has smaller incisions, so the surgical wound is more aesthetically pleasing and causes less pain due to the wound.
