Ultrasound detects ascites and identifies anatomical abnormalities in the liver and bile ducts.
Computed tomography (CT)
The shape of the liver and spleen, characteristics of cirrhosis, portal hypertension, etc. can be observed well.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
It is used for more accurate diagnosis when liver lesions are discovered on ultrasound or computed tomography (CT), or when examining patients who have side effects from contrast media for CT examination.
Liver biopsy
Liver biopsy is performed to examine liver tissue.
